An Empty Kill

He gleamed at her destruction.
He finally brought her to her knees.
She had no words left to whisper.
He transmitted his disease.
She cannot look him in the eyes.
Her soul is wrought with fury.
He stands so proud and tall now.
His voice echos with intense hurry.
He’s a proud, broad hunter,
showing off his kill.
She’s been silenced for the winter,
but he did not destroy her will.
