Picturing you
in a white linen collar.
With cuffs rolled up,
your shirt is un-tucked.
Looking down at your writing,
your brow is furrowed.
You’re deep in thought.

Admiring our café view
in beautiful Colmar,
I casually sip my espresso cup.
With the finest feather plucked,
I scribble things—poetically recounting.
I’m no longer burrowed
beneath life-battles fought.
